Perform a monthly visual check of a wall-mounted fire extinguisher to confirm visible condition and update its inspection tag when due or after any service.
The wall-mounted extinguisher has not been inspected this month and its inspection tag is blank, dated over 30 days ago, or is unreadable.
The inspection tag may be faded or missing and the pressure gauge can be obscured by dust or paint, making reading and updating the tag difficult. The unit may be mounted above reach, requiring a ladder and care to inspect and update safely.
Extinguisher is confirmed in place with a readable gauge and labels, the inspection tag is updated with the date and inspector initials, and a tamper-evident seal is applied if required.
