Record and archive current temperature and relative humidity readings whenever you complete an environmental check or detect a change in storage conditions. Use this routine when the datalogger has new readings that are not yet placed in the official archive.
Latest temperature and humidity readings are available on the datalogger and in the device log but are not recorded in the archival spreadsheet or saved to the archive location.
Readings and files are spread across the device memory, local laptop, and network share; inconsistent filenames and manual copy-paste steps increase the chance of transcription errors and loss of provenance.
The archival spreadsheet contains a new row with ISO 8601 timestamp, temperature, relative humidity and sensor ID, the raw CSV is saved with a dated filename in the archive storage, and any out-of-range values are flagged in the spreadsheet.

- 01 Retrieve latest readings from deviceConnect to the datalogger (USB or Wi-Fi), open device interface, and read the most recent temperature (°C or °F), relative humidity (%), exact timestamp, and sensor ID; note these values on screen or clipboard.⏱ 5분
- 02 Export raw log file to computerUse the device software to export a CSV or TXT containing the relevant timestamp range; save the file with a clear name including date and sensor ID (example: archive_20260528_sensorA.csv).⏱ 5분
- 03 Append entry to archival spreadsheetOpen the archival spreadsheet and add a new row with ISO 8601 timestamp, temperature (include unit), relative humidity (%), sensor ID, raw filename, your initials, and any brief notes; save the spreadsheet.⏱ 10분
- 04 Validate values and back up raw fileCross-check the spreadsheet row against the raw CSV (confirm timestamp and values match), run a quick range check and mark 'Issue' if values fall outside predefined thresholds, then copy the raw CSV to the archive storage and record the backup path in the spreadsheet.⏱ 10분
