Empty and sort drawer contents
Pull everything out of the drawer and place items into three piles on the counter labeled Keep, Donate, and Trash so every item is visible.

Select one item to donate
Scan the Donate and Keep piles and choose exactly one usable item you no longer need; verify it is functional and place it in the donation bag.

Return items by category
Group Keep items by function (utensils, gadgets, linens), nest or stack similar pieces, and return them to the drawer with most-used items at the front.

Wipe and remove debris
Brush or vacuum crumbs from the empty drawer, then wipe all interior surfaces with the cloth and let them air-dry for a minute.

Finalize donation and remove trash
Fold or bag the donation item, place the donation bag by the exit or in your designated donation spot, and carry the Trash pile to the bin.
