    Measure and mark cardstock
    Use the ruler and pencil to mark a 2.5 x 7 inch rectangle on the cardstock and sketch basic decoration placement.

    Cut the bookmark shape
    Cut along the measured lines with scissors, then trim any uneven edges until the rectangle measures 2.5 x 7 inches.

    Decorate the front
    Apply stickers, glue scrap paper shapes, or draw a simple design within the sketched areas, leaving a 1/8 inch margin on edges.

    Seal edges
    Cover both sides with clear adhesive tape strips or run a glue stick around edges and press to prevent fraying and smudging.

    Punch hole and attach ribbon
