Organize Photos Lightly

A relaxed way to organize a small set of photos so they’re easier to find and nicer to look at, without turning it into a full archive project.

Steps
  1. 01
Decide which photos you’re touching today
Choose a clear, limited scope such as photos from one trip, one month, or one event so the task feels contained and approachable from the start.
  2. 02
    Delete the obvious misses first
Remove blurry shots, duplicates, or photos you know you’ll never use, without overthinking borderline cases.
  3. 03
    Pick a few worth keeping
Select the photos that actually capture the moment or feeling, not every technically decent shot.
  4. 04
Group them in a simple way
Put the selected photos into a folder or album with a straightforward structure that makes sense to you later.
  5. 05
Give the group a clear name
Name the folder or album so you’ll recognize it instantly without opening it or guessing.
  6. 06
Stop while it still feels pleasant
End the task once the photos feel more manageable and enjoyable, before it turns into tedious sorting.
