Obstacle

The process stalls when I cannot find an acceptable proof of address or a government ID, or when the verification email is delayed; form fields and document uploads require exact details and clear images.

A library card application is submitted, my email is verified, and my online account is active with login credentials recorded.

Steps

Gather required documents

Locate a government photo ID and a recent proof of address (within the library's allowed date range) and place them where you can photograph or upload them.

Open registration page and start account

Visit the library's registration page, select 'Sign up' or 'Apply', and enter your legal name, birthdate, and contact phone/email into the form fields.

Upload ID and complete form

Take clear photos or upload scanned copies of your ID and proof of address, fill the address exactly as on the documents, and review all entries for typos before submitting.

Verify email and set credentials

Open the verification email, click the activation link, set a password or PIN that meets the stated rules, then sign in to confirm the account works.

Record card details and confirm settings

Note the library card number and login in a password manager or secure note, set communication preferences, and check borrowing or digital access limits.
