What's inside
Quick routine to record, tag, and store items you discover so owners can be reunited. Run this immediately after finding an unclaimed object.
You are holding or responsible for an unrecorded found item with no photo, tag, or log entry.
There may be no tags, bags, or workstation nearby, so it’s easy to leave the item unlogged or to place it in the wrong storage. Missing photos or inconsistent descriptions later prevent matching the item to its owner.
The item has a durable ID tag attached, a timestamped photo and log entry with finder and location details, and is placed in the labeled lost-and-found bin on the correct shelf.
