Reference Desk Pencil Cup Refill and Sharpening

Restock and sharpen pencils at the reference desk so patrons always have ready-to-use pencils; perform at shift start or whenever the cup has fewer than five usable pencils.

⏱ 15 min ★ Very easy
Target

The pencil cup contains mixed-length pencils, several blunt or broken tips, and fewer than five usable pencils.

Obstacle

Spare pencils are stored in a labeled box that can be tucked behind other supplies, and the sharpener sometimes clogs or produces uneven points requiring rework.

Expectation

The pencil cup holds 10 functional pencils with uniformly sharp points and intact erasers, arranged erasers-up and noted on the supply log.
