Target

The bookmark rack has uneven stock levels with several designs nearly empty, outdated promotional inserts in pockets, and missing or incorrect price stickers.

Obstacle

Back-stock is stored across multiple boxes without a consolidated count sheet, some printed inserts are the wrong size for slots, and adhesive label supplies are running low, which slows refilling and labeling.

Expectation

Every slot displays current designs with six bookmarks per slot (or filled to the slot edge if smaller), new promotional inserts in place, and correct price stickers visible.

Steps
  1. 01
    Count current stock by design
    Walk the rack and record the quantity for each design on the checklist, marking designs with fewer than six copies as low stock.

    Collect replacements and prepare inserts
    Retrieve replacement bookmarks from back-stock, print or cut promotional inserts to slot size, and prepare price stickers for each design marked low.

    Remove damaged items and outdated inserts
    Remove torn or soiled bookmarks and discard outdated inserts; repair minor tears with tape so only display-quality items remain.

    Refill and relabel rack
    Place bookmarks front-facing, grouping by design and placing six copies per slot (or fill to the slot edge), insert new promotional inserts behind each design, and apply correct price stickers.

    Final audit and reorder notes
    Walk the rack with the checklist to verify counts, update reorder quantities for designs below threshold, and take a photo of the finished rack for records.
