Label and date DVD cases

Prepare new or replacement DVD cases for checkout by applying standardized checkout stickers and recording them in inventory; use this when new shipments arrive or cases are replaced. This prevents unreadable or missing labels at the circulation desk.

⏱ 30 min ★ Easy
Target

New DVD cases are unmarked or missing checkout stickers and some cases lack dates or recorded barcodes in the inventory system.

Obstacle

Some discs or cases arrive with unclear or missing barcode information, and printed stickers can misalign or trap air on curved case surfaces making labels hard to read.

Expectation

Every DVD case has a legible checkout sticker with barcode and a readable date in the same location and each item is entered or updated in the inventory system as ready for checkout.

Materials
  • • Checkout sticker labels — 50 stickers
