Public workstation keyboard and mouse cleaning and check

Clean and disinfect the shared keyboard and mouse when switching users or during routine maintenance to remove oils, debris, and microbes and confirm input devices function correctly.

⏱ 17 min ★ Easy
Target

The keyboard has visible residue and debris between keys and the mouse has sticky surfaces or uncertain click/scroll response.

Obstacle

You must remove oils and trapped debris and verify every input without introducing moisture that can temporarily disable keys or the optical sensor, and you often have only a short turnover window between users.

Expectation

All keytops and mouse surfaces are cleaned and disinfected, debris is removed from between keys and crevices, and every key, the left/right mouse buttons, and the scroll wheel respond correctly.
