AED battery and electrode check

Verify AED battery charge level and electrode pad expiration dates and update the status log; perform monthly or after any device use.

⏱ 30 min ★ Easy
Target

AED is installed but the battery charge indicator, battery expiration date, and electrode pad expiration dates are not recorded for the current month and the status log lacks a recent inspection entry.

Obstacle

Small print on pads and batteries can be hard to read and replacement parts may be stored separately, making it unclear whether an item is expired or available; status log entries may be inconsistent or missing required fields.

Expectation

Battery charge, battery expiration date, and electrode pad expiration dates are recorded in the status log with the inspection date and any required replacement actions created or completed.
