Section Setting

Choose which sections appear in your task document — show only what you need.

Every task in Fecit can have up to five optional sections: Details, Intention, Preparation, Review, and Attachments. But not every task needs all of them. Section Setting lets you toggle each section on or off — per task — so your document stays clean and focused.

Where to find it

Open any task and look for the Document Settings button. It appears as a bordered button with a document icon, located below the task content area.

Tap it to open the section toggles.

Available sections

Details
Date, time, location, difficulty, and project. Adds structure to your task.
Intention
Target and expectation. Clarifies your purpose before you begin.
Preparation
Materials, tools, venues, and people. Check what you need in advance.
Review
Retrospective after completion. Reflect on what went well and what to improve.
Attachments
Add related files and photos to your task.

Templates vs Records

Section settings work on both templates and records.

When you configure sections on a template, every new record created from that template inherits those settings. You can still override them on individual records later.

Templates also have an additional toggle: Accept improve suggestions, which enables AI-powered recommendations to refine your task.

Minimal to Maximal in practice

Section Setting is how the Minimal to Maximal philosophy works in practice. A quick errand? Turn everything off — just use the title and description. A complex project? Turn on Intention for clarity, Preparation for readiness, and Review for reflection.

You decide the depth. The task adapts.

Less noise, more focus

Showing every section for every task creates clutter. Hiding everything leaves you with a plain checklist. Section Setting gives you the middle ground — exactly the right amount of structure for each task, every time.
