Obstacle

Toner level indicators live in different places depending on the model (front panel, network admin page, or app), and spare boxes may lack clear part numbers or be mixed with incompatible models, which makes verification take extra time.

Expectation

Toner levels are checked and recorded; a compatible spare cartridge is inspected, labeled with part number and date, and placed in the designated drawer or bin next to the printer.

Access printer and confirm model

Walk to the printer, read and record the model/part label, and open the front access panel to view toner cartridges

Use the printer display or log into the printer's web/admin page from your device and record the toner percentage or low/warning status for each color

Verify spare cartridge compatibility

Locate the spare cartridge box for that model, confirm the part number matches the printer, inspect the box and cartridge seal for damage, and note any discrepancies
