Small LEGO vignette
Build a compact desktop LEGO scene using pieces you already own; use this when you have about 30 minutes and want a finished mini display or photo-ready scene.
⏱ 30 min★ Easy
Target
A mixed pile of LEGO pieces with no baseplate, no chosen theme, and no assembled scene.
Obstacle
The collection of pieces is disorganized and it’s hard to find the specific studs, slopes, or minifigure parts needed to form a coherent scene within a short time frame.
Expectation
A complete 6x6–10x10 stud vignette attached to a baseplate with a clear focal element, at least one minifigure or accessory placed, and a quick photo taken.
Tools
- • Assorted LEGO bricks — 1 set or box
- • Small baseplate — 1
- • Minifigure(s) and small accessories — 1–3
Steps
- 01Choose theme and sizePick a simple theme (street stall, park bench, tiny cottage) and set vignette dimensions (choose 6x6, 8x8, or 10x10 studs) and a focal element.⏱ 5 min
- 02Sort and select piecesQuickly separate plates, tiles, slopes, and minifigure parts into small piles and select only the pieces needed for the chosen theme.⏱ 5 min
- 03Build base structureAssemble the ground and main structure on the baseplate (foundation, wall or platform) using plates and bricks to fit the chosen dimensions.⏱ 10 min
