What's inside

Tongue-twister rounds

Run structured tongue-twister practice to build clearer articulation and measurable speed, then record baseline and improvements. Use when you have a focused 30-minute slot for speaking practice.

⏱ 30 min★ Easy
Target

You can say a few tongue-twisters slowly but stumble on consonant clusters at speed and have no recent recordings or counts to compare.

Obstacle

Consonant clusters collapse into slurs as you increase speed, causing inconsistent errors; without timed runs and recordings you can't reliably measure small improvements.

Expectation

You will have audio recordings and written notes showing per-tongue-twister error counts and completion times that you can compare later.

Steps
  1. 01
    Select tongue-twisters and warm up
Choose 4–6 tongue-twisters; do 2 minutes of lip/tongue warm-ups and read each tongue-twister slowly once to establish baseline phrasing.
    ⏱ 5 min
  2. 02
    Slow clarity round (baseline)
Set a timer per phrase, speak each tongue-twister slowly 3 times, record each run, and note immediate error counts and any mispronounced clusters.
    ⏱ 6 min
  3. 03
    Target-speed round
Increase to your target speed and say each tongue-twister 3 times, record each run, time completion for each, and write down error counts per attempt.
    ⏱ 6 min
  4. 04
    Focused challenge on hardest phrase
Pick the single most error-prone tongue-twister and repeat it 6 times alternating normal and pushed speed; record the best run and count slips for each repetition.
    ⏱ 6 min
  5. 05
    Review recordings and note improvements
Listen to recordings, compare error counts and times to the baseline, and write three specific improvements to target in the next session plus one concrete next-goal (e.g., reduce slips from 5 to 2).
