    Choose a short passage
    Select a single paragraph or 1-2 pages from your current reading that you can reread without interruption.

    Identify three unfamiliar words
    Read the passage and mark three words you cannot define in one sentence or that feel unfamiliar to you.

    Look up and record definitions
    Use a dictionary or app to write a one-sentence definition or a clear synonym next to each selected word.

    Write one original sentence per word
    Compose and write a single original sentence using each word in context, then read each sentence aloud to check clarity.
