Target

Several photos from today are in my phone and none are printed or placed on a page.

Obstacle

I hesitate to choose which photos and a layout, and the prints and supplies are scattered between phone, printer, and craft area.

Expectation

One completed 12x12 scrapbook page contains 4–6 printed photos arranged and adhered to a background, a short caption with the date, and excess supplies returned to their places.

Materials

• Photo prints — 6 4x6
• Cardstock background — 1 12x12 sheet
• Decorative paper — 2 6x6 sheets
• Adhesive — 1 roll
• Label stickers — 1 sheet
• Black pen — 1 pen

Steps

Select photos
Choose 4–6 photos from today's shoot, crop to preferred aspect ratios on your phone or computer, and mark which will be printed.

Print and gather prints
Send the selected images to your printer or photo service, pick up prints, and place them on your workspace sorted by orientation.

Choose layout and background
Pick one 12x12 cardstock and decorative papers; arrange photos on the page until a composition looks balanced and take a reference photo.

Trim and adhere photos
Trim photo edges to fit the chosen layout and use adhesive to stick each photo to the cardstock following the reference arrangement.

Add caption and tidy up
Write a one-sentence caption and the date on a label or directly on the page, add small embellishments if desired, and return unused supplies to their storage.
