Beginner Tree Pose Practice

Build steadier balance with a simple tree pose sequence. Use it when you want a gentle introduction to standing yoga balance.

⏱ 15 min★ Easy
Target

You have not yet held a beginner balance pose with a steady stance and controlled breathing.

Obstacle

Your standing foot may shift, or your raised foot may slide down as you balance. Rushing into the pose can make it harder to find a stable position.

Expectation

You can hold tree pose for 20 seconds on each side while breathing calmly and keeping your balance.

Steps
  1. 01
    Set up your stance
Stand near a clear wall, place both feet hip-width apart, and take five slow breaths.
    ⏱ 2 min
  2. 02
    Warm up your ankles
Shift your weight gently from heel to toe on each foot for 10 repetitions.

  3. 03
