Pack by the order you will need things

Start with the items you will reach for first, like diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes, and place them in the front pocket. Anything you need within the first 30 minutes goes on top, and things you only need later go to the bottom.

Check the bag against the baby, not your memory

Look at the baby's schedule and what happened on the last outing. If feeds run long or the last trip ended in a messy blowout, add an extra set of clothes and an extra pack of wipes rather than trusting that you will remember.

Save time by keeping a fixed home base

Keep the bag in the same spot every time so you can grab it without searching. Refill used items immediately after returning so the next outing starts ready.
