One or more websites remain logged in, multiple browser tabs are open, and the browser stores history, cookies, cached files, saved passwords, or autofill data.
Some accounts are open in different tabs and browser settings or extensions may be locked by the workstation administrator, which can block a full profile reset or extension removal. Limited permissions can force workarounds like using Guest mode instead of a full profile reset.
No active logins remain, browsing history, cookies, cache, saved passwords and autofill entries are removed, extensions and settings are returned to defaults or disabled, and a quick verification shows no account is signed in.
- 01 Sign out of every website and close tabsFor each open tab, open the site, click the profile avatar or menu and choose 'Sign out' or 'Log out', then close the tab; repeat until no tabs show an active account page.⏱ 5분
- 02 Clear browsing data (all time)Open browser Settings > Clear browsing data, select 'All time', check Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files, and Autofill form data, then click Clear Data.⏱ 5분
- 03 Delete saved passwords and autofill entriesOpen Passwords/Autofill in Settings, delete all saved logins, saved credit cards, and saved addresses; confirm deletions so no credentials remain.⏱ 5분
- 04 Reset browser settings and disable extensionsOpen Settings > Reset settings (or Restore defaults) and confirm the reset; then open Extensions and disable or remove any non-default extensions. If reset/remove is blocked, close the browser and reopen in Guest mode.⏱ 5분
