Export batch from catalog

Export the selected e-book records to CSV or MARC-XML including title, author, subjects, identifiers, and key metadata fields.

Run automated normalization script

Apply a normalization script or metadata-edit tool to standardize field names, date formats, identifiers, punctuation, and capitalization and produce a normalized output file.

Map and correct subject headings

Match each subject string against the controlled-vocabulary mapping file, replace variants and misspellings with the preferred heading, and flag low-confidence matches for review.

Review flagged records and resolve conflicts

Open each flagged record, select the correct heading from suggestions or create an approved local heading, record the decision in the mapping log, and mark the record resolved.

Import cleaned records and verify

Import the corrected metadata back into the catalog or update via API, sample 20 records to verify field-level changes and subject heading accuracy, and save a before/after report.
